Your stay begins with a visit to the Biophare, a museum bearing witness to human, economic, social and cultural activities relating to the territory of the Pierre-De Saurel region and the Lac-Saint-Pierre biosphere reserve. Through the theme of water, the permanent exhibition « The Observatory of Lake Saint-Pierre » will transport you through the ages: the Amerindian presence, the French, English and German occupation; the Second World War and the rise of shipbuilding, and more … A second permanent exhibition, « The call of large », will teach you more about shipbuilding at Marine Industries and armament manufacturing at Sorel Industries during the formidable Sorel war effort.
